January 2012

Since I've been told that Facebook doesn't count as a blog I figured I'd better fire up the old one and get blogging! Firstly Happy New Year! 2012 promises to be a very good year!  Last year I spent most of my time doing portfolio building work and really enjoyed it!  Thanks to all my willing subjects, it was great fun!  In December I finished my first Baby's 1st year with Lucas, which was a wonderful experience! Such a privaledge to watch him grow from a bump to a bouncing boy! Thank you Jessica and Steven!

I aslo did my first 'official' wedding in December!  Tracy was the most amazing bride you could hope for, gorgeous and so laid back. Nick was the most special groom I've ever met, he didn't let his MS stand in the way of marrying the woman he loved! So romantic!  Thank you so much to both of you for letting me capture your special day :-)

I also got to shoot a Polly-anna and her friends getting ready for their prom, which was great fun!  Thanks girls :-)

So this year it's all guns blazing getting my marketing going.  I'm starting the year off with a Valentine's competition offering the taster sessions half price so hopefully that will get people to try me out! :-) So far I've had a really good response and voting is hotting up!  I also got to shoot my first twins, which was fun! :-)
These are the twins, Aidan and Joshua, their mum, Kim is one of the administrators on Nottingham Mums on Facebook, what organisational skills she has! Besides having 2 older boys as well!! I'm really enjoying being part of this group, have met some really lovely mums in Nottingham so far and hope to meet loads more! :-)
This is gorgeous little Martha, whom I did a newborn shoot with, this is the most amazing expression I have ever seen on a newborn's face!  And it wasn't even a chance picture, she really does look at you with intense concentration, she's going to be a right little madam! Look out Ayesha and Mark! :-)
This is the lovely little Isla, I love this picture of her and her mum, Alana, they have such a wonderful bond :-)
This is cheeky little Liam.  We had lots of fun doing this shoot!  He was so quick with his 'cheesecake' smile and happy to jump and pose for me, a really lovely family :-)

These are Logan and Harry.  Very polite little gentelmen! We had lots of fun building a puzzle and playing with their toys :-) Mum, Rebekah and dad, Lee were a bit shy of the camera but I don't know why, they're a very good looking family!  This was a good practise run for your wedding later this year! :-)

Looking forward to adding more cheeky little monkeys to the competition and meeting more lovely families! And hopefully this year I will be able to save enough for that camera and those lenses I have my eye on!  Typical photographer, we're never happy with our gear! lol
