August news letter

July was pretty hectic with the run up to the summer holidays.
I did an engagement shoot with Sarah-Jayne and Zeeshan

Sports day is of course always a pleasure ;-p

I did a fun shoot at Kaydee's nursery for Pirate Day

We had our week away in Devon on our family holiday, which of course was plagued with rain most of the week but we enjoyed ourselves despite the weather, I took great comfort in the fudge and clotted cream ice cream! yum! The boys moaned like crazy every time I took pictures of them, I don't know why it still comes as a surprise, it's not like I haven't had a camera stuck in their faces their whole lives!

So all in all a very busy month and with no time to catch up on my editing in August with the children being on summer holidays September will definitely see me glued to my seat in front of the computer!

Lucas 6 months

As usual I had a wonderful time with Stephen and Jessica shooting gorgeous Lucas.  I can't believe he's 6 months old already and we're more than half way through the project! It's going to be so exciting to see the finished book that spans the whole year!
We were really lucky with the weather again and managed to take some nice pics in the park, a bit nostalgic visiting the same park where we took the preggie pics!

July News Letter

I figured I need to give my blog a bit of attention again, she's feeling very neglected! I've had a very busy month in June! It was my birthday on the 30th and I had hoped to launch my website but with 2 sports days and a few other shoots I didn't get a chance to get it all done, for once I'm being quite patient and methodical, which is very unlike me!! I want it to be just right before I start handing out business cards! I was very excited when my box of cards arrive, I even have a rubber stamp! How official am I? lol
I did my first paid job last Saturday! 2nd shooter at a wedding! It was a lot of work but good experience and has helped me hone my wedding package! I nearly had a heart attack when I got home and stuck one of the memory cards in and it said no images found! We eventually managed to download it through my camera!
I'm doing the 6 month shoot with Lucas today, I can't believe I'm half way through one of my baby's first year packages! It will be so nice to see that as a finished product. I'm really excited about offering that package and hope that it will form a good chunk of my business :-)
I presented Ana with her 'My Family' shoot book and it was so exciting to see the whole family gathered around the table, each wanting to see their page! I really enjoy that package too!
I'll be busy with the summer holidays now so probably won't be doing much marketing but hopefully a lot of practising with the kids and friends! Hopefully by the time they go back to school in September I will be ready to jump in with gusto!

I had so much fun doing this shoot with the Beveridges, the children are real little monkeys :-) Congratulations, Mike and Ana, thank you for letting me be part of this wonderful day with you xx

Right people, taken a huge step into unknown waters, messed about and added two new links to my blog! Also created a new facebook page for KD Photo Books so I'm getting really cool now! ;-p

Greencroft Studio day

Had lots of fun with everyone again today, thanks Natalie for keeping us supplied with cakes and biscuits to keep us going! :-P

 

Adam John

I had a lovely time with Jo and Robert taking pictures of the gorgeous new Adam John Peach.  I have never seen a baby so alert and strong at only one week old!  He is going to be the next Beckham! ;-p

When Julie said to me that her children are not photogenic I jumped at the challenge and had great fun proving her wrong! I think her children are gorgeous! :-) And so are you Julie! ;-p
